10% of the profits from Evolve are donated to environmental charities that support our mission to save the wild.
There is no escaping the fact that the products we choose to purchase will have an impact on the planet lasting far longer than we will. Plastic bottles take between 450 - 1000 years to decompose, yet 1,000,000 plastic bottles are purchased around the world every minute (that's 20,000 a second, in case you were wondering). Of those 1,000,000, at most only 7% will be recycled and the true number is probably frighteningly lower. The environmental impact of this catastrophe is only just beginning to be felt, but it is often seen most acutely as we travel the world and witness places of incredible natural beauty choking in plastic waste.
Evolve was founded by an environmental science teacher who heard the passionate outrage of his students loud and clear. We MUST change, or the world as we know it will not survive. That's why the Evolve adventure towel is made from recycled plastic waste. Likewise, we are committed to using recycled materials whenever and however possible in all of our future products. We're determined to make high quality, stylish travel gear in a way that benefits the environment.
We're also committed to leaving a positive and lasting impact on the environment through charitable work and donations. That's why we donate 10% of our profits to non-profits who support our mission. We MUST change, for the sake of our planet; our home.
There are only an estimated 3900 tigers remaining in the wild, with 3 species already becoming extinct. These beautiful animals need our help, which is why we have chosen to donate a portion of our profits to Panthera’s Tigers Forever Program. This important program is working to increase tiger numbers by at least 50% over a ten year period at key sites in South East Asia.
Our donations help to address the most urgent threats to tigers, including poaching, conflict with local people, overhunting of tiger prey species, and habitat loss. These interventions include effectively securing protected areas, identifying and protecting tiger habitats, and using high-tech cameras to stop poaching and protect tiger populations.
The oceans are enormous, but they are also vulnerable. Humans have already impacted or destroyed marine ecosystems and driven million-year-old species to the brink of extinction. According to a study published in Science, less than 4 percent of the oceans remain unaffected by human activity.
Oceana is dedicated to protecting and restoring the world’s oceans on a global scale. They are a leader in protecting the world's oceans, and since its founding "Oceana has won more than 200 victories and protected more than 4.5 million square miles of ocean."
Our donations to Oceana help to protect our oceans from pollution, overfishing and exploitation through the implementation of science based, expert led programs.
The Rainforest Alliance is a growing network of farmers, foresters, communities, scientists, governments, environmentalists, and businesses dedicated to conserving biodiversity and ensuring sustainable livelihoods.
The alliance is working to build strong forests, healthy agricultural landscapes, and thriving communities through creative, pragmatic collaboration. The results have helped prevent the deforestation of nearly 4.4 million hectares in high-risk landscapes and forest frontiers.
Our donations help to support this vital network of change makers. Through supporting the Rainforest Alliance, we can do our best to ensure that these vulnerable ecosystems are preserved and nurtured for future generations of world explorers and vagabonds.
